I honestly DO NOT get what is WITH these boys! they're like... hillbillies... XD champ haha jk. but really. they're obsessed with the outdoors and dead lizards or w.e.
And the whole becky thing... ENGAGED... pssh. They like each other so much when they hardly knew each other. I mean Tom likes her as much as he thought he liked that other girl (amy lawrence i think). i think it's just another phase thing. that he'll grow out of it and find another girl like he did when he met Becky.
And WHERE do they get all those bits of junk? a doorknob... 0_o
and about "injun" joe and those other 2 men... what exactly were they doing? grave robbing? i think that's it... but i dont think that there was such a good reason for those 3 men to start fighting and eventually get deadly. and what's with tom and huck about being so scared of a stray dog?? this book just gets weirder and weirder... especially when tom, huck and joe harper run away and become "pirates".... a boy's mind is an EXTREMELY strange thing... i wonder how they're going to survive in the woods. i think they're probably going to go back home after a day or 2. or be found and be forced back.

^^^ Champ, stop being weird. :P Anyway, I agree with you Lea. Guys make no sense, even now they behave in the same general way. (It's gone from doorknobs to the little round things on the bottom of the school's chairs.) I don't think Tom actually gets the whole concept of love. As in you need to actually KNOW the person you "love" and not fall in love with only their looks before you get engaged. Engaged...

yea, and when they made that oath in blood.....weird. They didn't even keep to it and they weren't struck by lightning or anything, but I don't think Tom and Huck get that! They never grow up.....and they just keep getting luckier and luckier, but they think it's all themselves.....WHAAAAAAATever...
